questions, answered

The things families most often ask before getting started. If your question isn't here, just ask. All enquiries will receive a response within 2 business days.

Do I need a referral?

No. You can book directly with a speech pathologist without a doctor's referral. If your child has been referred by a GP, paediatrician or school, we're happy to work alongside them too.

What ages do you work with?

Children and young people from around 18 months through to 18 years, from first words to teenage communication.

Do you see both neurotypical and neurodivergent children?

Yes, absolutely. Leanne has six years of experience working with neurodivergent and neurotypical children across a wide range of communication needs. Every child's therapy is built around their individual strengths and interests.

Do you accept NDIS participants?

Yes. Self-managed and plan-managed NDIS participants are welcome. Supports are delivered and billed in line with your child's plan, and we're happy to liaise with your support coordinator.

Do you provide assessment reports?

Yes. Assessments include a written report where appropriate, with clear findings and practical recommendations.

Where are sessions held?

We come to you. Sessions happen at home, preschool or school across Sydney's North Shore, and via telehealth Australia-wide. Working in your child's everyday environments means therapy supports communication where it actually happens.

Do you offer school or preschool visits?

Yes. School and preschool sessions and observations are a core part of how we work, including collaborating with teachers and educators.

Do you provide telehealth?

Yes. Telehealth sessions are available Australia-wide, and they work especially well for regular therapy, parent coaching and school-aged children.

How long are sessions?

Sessions run for 60 minutes, with time built in for feedback so you always know what we worked on, why, and what to try at home.

What should I bring to the first appointment?

Mostly just your child, exactly as they are. If you have any previous reports (speech pathology, paediatrician, psychology, hearing tests), those are helpful. A favourite toy or comfort item is always welcome, and please bring your questions.

How do I make a referral?

Families can enquire or book directly through our book & refer page. Professionals and schools can use the referral form on the same page. Every referral receives a response within 2 business days.

How long is the waitlist?

Availability changes through the year, so the honest answer is: get in touch and we'll tell you exactly where things stand. If we can't see you soon, we'll say so upfront.

What is your cancellation policy?

Life with kids is unpredictable, and we understand. Our cancellation terms are set out clearly in your service agreement before you start. We simply ask for as much notice as possible so the time can be offered to another family.

How soon will I hear back after making an enquiry?

Within 2 business days, every time.
